Cuban Ambassador receives leading Indonesian journalist

Jakarta, February 28th- The Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to Indonesia Tania Velázquez received Teguh Santosa, a leading Indonesian journalist, Chief Editor of RMOL magazine, at the headquarters of the diplomatic legation in this city.  The fraternal meeting was an auspicious occasion to review interesting passages from the history of Indonesia, as well as its links with Cuba, in the context of the 60th Anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries. 

The Antillean diplomat also ratified Cuba's willingness to expand exchanges with Indonesia and referred in specific to the academic potential.

Mr. Santosa recalled with great pleasure his recent trip to Cuba in November 2019, when he participated in the International Meeting of Anti-Imperialist Solidarity. He said he was pleasantly impressed with what he saw in Cuba and expressed his desire to return to the Island.

The  also Vice Chancellor of the Bung Karno University, took the opportunity to give the Cuban ambassador a copy of his book "On the edge of Amu Darya" that collects his experiences on the Afghan border of Uzbekistan.

Teguh Santosa is also a member of the Bung Karno Foundation for Education. On his last trip to Cuba he had the opportunity to meet with Ariel Terrero and Jorge Legañoa, vice presidents of the Union of Journalists of Cuba; as well as with Dr. Mayda Goite Pierre, vice chancellor of the University of Havana.
