Havana, 2 December 2021. Cuba will resist and defeat the blockade imposed by the United States, President Miguel Díaz-Canel emphasized today.
The president evoked on Twitter a statement from the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro (1926-2016).
We will continue to withstand the consequences of the blockade, which one day will be defeated by the dignity of Cubans, the solidarity of peoples and the almost absolute opposition of the governments of the world, as well as by the growing rejection of US citizens, Díaz-Canel subscribed.
Cuba has faced a hostile policy by successive US governments for more than six decades.
Such aggression has caused millions in losses to the Cuban economy and hardships to the population.
The United Nations General Assembly has ruled for the end of the siege against Cuba by an overwhelming majority in 29 successive occasions, urging Washington to lift it.
