The 3rd International Camel Festival King Abdulaziz closed its doors recently, after 45 days of celebration in a desert point located at around 200 km away from the capital Riyadh, under the auspices of His Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

Among the different segments of this Festival devoted to the nomad and original peoples and their traditional cultures, an artistic-cultural Program was developed with the presence of representatives from Asia, Europe, Africa and Latin America, including delegations from Venezuela, Argentina, Brazil, Costa Rica, Colombia, Chile, Mexico, Bolivia and Cuba, which took part for the first time in this kind of event.

The Cuban representation included the Cuban artists Joanna Medina and Leandro Michel Almanza, who, in the framework of the event, performed different presentations, which included Cuban traditional dances as the Papalote, the casino and more recent musical hits as Gozando en La Habana and La Gozadera, which were warmly received by the attending audience, who enjoyed the very unusual shows exhibited, well far away from the local habits and customs.

Many ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions accredited to the Kingdom also attended the Festival, who share with local authorities and the different artistic groups present at the Festival, including among them the Cuban ambassador to Riyadh.
