Cuba and The Netherlands advance links in Higher Education.

The Hague, 26 September 2019. The Embassy of Cuba on the Kingdom of the Netherlands received the Memorandum of Understanding between the University of Groningen and the University of Havana (UH), which has already been signed by the President of the Board of Directors of the Dutch University and is expected to be signed by the University of Havana´s Rectors office. In the near future. This MOU is intended to consolidate and expand the cooperation relations between the two institutions.

This activity takes place as a result of the activities carried out by the Embassy with the Dutch university and is part of the exchange and negotiations which have taken place between the representatives of both university´s international relations department. 

The meeting was attended by Second Secretary of the Embassy José Pérez Lazo PhD and the Project Manager of the Dutch University Mrs.  Anja de Vries.

The University of Groningen, located in the city of the same name was founded in 1614 and is one of the largest and oldest in The Netherlands. The Higher Education center has 9 faculties, 9 postgraduate schools, 27 research institutes and centers and more than 175 undergraduate syllabi and 27 000 students currently attend its campus.
