The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cuba Chancellery reiterates Cuba's firm commitment to the postulates of the Proclamation of Latin America and the Caribbean as a Zone of Peace
On April 15, the so-called Lima Group meeting in Santiago, Chile, adopted an interventionist declaration on Venezuela that points to Cuba within a group of countries whose support for the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela supposedly causes a negative impact on our region.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba rejects this affirmation that echoes the slanderous statements of the US Secretary of State. UU., In its recent tour of South America and that, with dignity, did not have the support of the Caribbean countries present.
The Latin American and Caribbean countries of this Group have received Cuban aid workers in
diverse spheres and they know perfectly the altruistic and solidary character that guides the Cuban collaboration.
The nearly 20,000 Cuban collaborators in Venezuela have broad social recognition for their commitment, consecration and noble humanitarian work. Cuba will never renounce its principles or offer cooperation to contribute to the welfare of the people who need it.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterates Cuba's firm commitment to the postulates of the Proclamation of Latin America and the Caribbean as a Zone of Peace.
