Barbados to be present at the University-2018 International Congress in Havana.

As part of the strengthening of cooperative relations in the educational sphere, the Principal of UWI Cave Hill Campus, Dr. Eudine Barriteau, attends the University-2018 International Congress, where in addition to participating in the Principals International Meeting, she will hold a bilateral meeting with his counterpart from the University of Havana, Dr. Gustavo Cobreiro. This was confirmed in a recent interview with the Cuban ambassador Francisco Fernandez, which served to review several points of the agenda of professional exchange, after the implementation of a Memorandum of Understanding that was signed of by both rectors in the framework of the II Colloquium on The Legacy of Fidel Castro sponsored by Cave Hill Campus. Among the objectives outlined in the short term are the creation of an Honorary Studies Chair dedicated to Martí and Fidel in this high teaching center where young people from several islands, mainly from the Eastern Caribbean, study. The delegation also includes Dr. Patrick Rowe, Director of Higher Education of the Ministry of Education of Barbados, who attends on behalf of his Minister, Hon. Ronald Jones.
