Ambassador of Cuba Visits Cervantes Institute in Utrecht

The Hague, 7 November 2018. A delegation from the Embasy of Cuba in the Kingdom of The Netherlands, headed by Her Excellency Ambassador Soraya Elena Álvarez Núñez, visited the headquarters of the Cervantes Institute in the Dutch city of Utrecht. The visit was part of the program of activities to celebrate Cuban Culture Day.

The delegation was received by the institute's director Mrs. Pilar Tena and officers, who held a cordial meeting on topics on interest such as the upcoming celebration in Cuba of the Fourth International Conferecen for World Equilibrium, from January 28 to January 31, 2018 in the Havana International Convention Center in Havana and which is expected to receive a large number of intelectuals, scientists and personalities of international stature.

The visit was also a good opportunity to donate to the "José Jiménez Lozano" Library of that center some titles from Cuban literature, including a poetry book by Marilyn Bobes, “Martí y la Paz” by José Antonio Portuondo and a biography of Cuba's National Poet Nicolás Guillén.
