Roseau, December 31, 2019. On the occasion of the end of the year and the 61st anniversary of the triumph of the Cuban Revolution, the Ambassador of Cuba, Ulises Arranz Fernández and the Consul, Miriam Martín Posada, held a meeting with a representation from the small community of cubans residing in Dominica. The meeting took place at the Ambassador's residence on the night of December 30, 2019.
In a cuban environment and with the presence of relatives and children of cubans, an exchange was held on the important role played by cuban organizations residing abroad and their link with their Embassies, so that cubans have a space to express their culture and patriotism. All agreed with the importance of these links and with the need to carry out activities such as the one carried out today.
Regarding the stable and fluid link between the cuban community and the Government of Cuba, the Ambassador referred to the importance of the “IV Nation and Emigration Conference” that will take place in Cuba between April 8 and 10, 2020.
